This photograph was taken on the 22nd January 2017 and was part of a project looking at what remained of the old railway that ran through the centre of Weymouth, Dorset. The line used to carry trains from the station to the dockside but no trains have run along it since the 1990s, and now much of it has been removed.

Fading lines
To commemorate the lifting of the old tranway through Weymouth town centre I have produced a short video of the photographs I took walking the line back in 2017.
Home town
An enforced sojourn in my home town results in a few reflections on its past and present, and I am struck by the unique attraction of an actual railway line running down the middle of the road.
