Cycling out of London towards Spring

One Sunday I escaped the dreary, rainy atmosphere of London on a bicycle ride. Seeking brightness, I found a churchyard where snowdrops and early daffodils signal the hope of spring. While photographing the flowers, the clouds cleared, revealing sunlight and the uplifting sounds of bird song, marking a transition from winter’s gloom.

The Shape of Trees

On cycle rides I notice the changing tree shapes throughout the seasons, . This inspired the “Shape of Trees” project, which captures the various changes trees undergo throughout the year and as they age. A calendar featuring these photographs is available for purchase for 2024.

On this day 26th March

On the 26th March 2018 I visited the cathedral city of Lincoln and stared up at its tower soaring into the Spring sky. The cathedral has stood for almost a thousand years and was once the tallest building in the world.
